The City of Ramsey seeks multiple individuals to work as Temporary Seasonal Maintenance Workers in the Public Works Department. These individuals will assist staff with the general maintenance of streets, park grounds, trails, buildings and related facilities and equipment through the spring, summer and possibly fall months. This also includes mowing and trimming; pruning and planting trees, working on landscape projects; maintaining athletic fields; picking up trash; streets and utility maintenance.
These are temporary, non-union positions working up to forty hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm, starting in April or May and running through the Fall months, depending on availability, workload and rules of Minnesota Public Employment Labor Relations (PELRA). There is no guarantee of further employment after the season has concluded. All candidates must be at least 17 years of age or older by June 1 and have a valid Minnesota driver’s license in good standing. The starting pay is $13.00 to $15.00/hour depending on qualifications. First interviews will begin on Wednesday, March 29, and continue until all positions are filled.
