The City of Ramsey is seeking two individuals to be Ramsey Police Officers. Police Officers perform responsible police work involving the protection and safety of the community through prevention and control of crime, maintaining or restoring public order, investigating crime, regulating traffic, enforcing laws and providing emergency services, as well as other related duties as required.
Successful applicants must have at least an Associate’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or equivalent qualifications meeting the state of Minnesota’s requirements to become an Officer. Prefer candidates that are full-time licensed or eligible to be P.O.S.T. full-time licensed prior to being hired.
The 2023 wage scale is as follows:
- First year - $32.460/hour
- Second year - $34.624/hour
- Third year - $38.951/hour
- Fourth year - $41.115/hour
- Top - $43.279/hour
