Yoga Flow is restorative, challenging, invigorating, and fun!  It’s Barbara’s goal to introduce yoga in a safe, non-competitive, judgment-free way.  Yoga is for EVERY BODY! Barbara will guide a Vinyasa style of yoga that focuses on breath and movement.  All levels welcome, as modifications will be offered.

Polymer Clay Ornaments

ART IN THE PARK: Polymer Clay Ornaments
Tuesday, December 5, 2017 / 6:30 – 7:30 pm

Join Rumriver Art Center to get ready for the winter holiday season. You will get to create your own unique polymer clay ornaments. Rumriver Art Center Instructors will lead participants step-by-step through this project, allowing you to understand the process of each technique and still be able to create your own version.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha Yoga
Wednesday, December 6, 13 & 20, 2017 / 6:30 – 7:15 pm
  
Hatha Yoga, or the yoga of activity and balance, focuses on individual poses, alignment, and breath through longer holds in each posture. You will build strength and stability from within. Unlike Vinyasa-style yoga, there is minimal flow through transitions. All levels are welcome, as modifications will be offered.

Living Legacy: Sweet Memories of Family Celebrations

Every cultural background in America came to this country with recipes for sweet treats to celebrate important people, dates, events, and festivals. Bring a small plate of your favorites sweet traditions to share (or just good stories of how good they tasted!) and join us to explore the cooking traditions of Anoka County. Come add to the living legacy that is both your past and your future.

Lights Tour

St. Paul Lights Tour - Registration closes Thursday, November 9 at 4:30pm
Thursday, December 7, 2017 / 3:15 – 8:45 pm

Enjoy a tour of the holiday lights in St. Paul! Arrive in West St. Paul for dinner at Cherokee Tavern. With antique lighting from the 1930’s, a new hardwood floor, and new tables and chairs, the Cherokee Tavern is better than ever. You will then meet a local guide who will give you a tour of St. Paul, bathed in Christmas lights. You will view Rice Park surrounded by the Saint Paul Hotel, Landmark Center, Ordway, and Downtown Library. The entire block is draped in twinkling lights and features St. Paul’s official Christmas tree.

Qigong Meditation

Qigong (chee-gong) meditation is a simple and effective method to help you heal physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. Qigong means “working with your energy.” Through gentle moving and sitting meditations you can gain relief from pain, sickness, depression, and anxiety.
