Yoga Flow is restorative, challenging, invigorating, and fun!  It’s Barbara’s goal to introduce yoga in a safe, non-competitive, judgment-free way.  Yoga is for EVERY BODY! Barbara will guide a Vinyasa style of yoga that focuses on breath and movement.  All levels welcome, as modifications will be offered.

Zumba

Zumba
Monday, October 2, 16, 23 & 30, 2017 / 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Zumba is a dance group-fitness class that is fun,  energetic, and effective. You will dance to great music while having fun and doing something good for your health. This class features interval aerobic training and exercises to sculpt and tone your body as you dance.

Candlelight Yoga

Yoga is for EVERY BODY! Barbara Sandarin, RYT will guide a Vinyasa style of yoga that focuses on breath and movement.  Practicing by candlelight will allow you to wind down in a calming environment. All levels are welcome, as modifications will be offered.

Hatha Yoga, or the yoga of activity and balance, focuses on individual poses, alignment, and breath through longer holds in each posture. You will build strength and stability from within. Unlike Vinyasa-style yoga, there is minimal flow through transitions. All levels are welcome, as modifications will be offered.

Wine and Canvas

Spend your Friday relaxing at Elmcrest Park with an evening of painting and wine. Rumriver Art Center Instructors will lead participants step-by-step through this project, allowing you to understand the process of each technique and still be able to create your own version.

Wisconsin Tour

Wisconsin Three Day Get-Away!
Tuesday, October 10 – Thursday, October 12, 2017 / Bus departs at 8:00 am 

Join the Elk River Activity Center for a mid-week get-away to Ho-Chunk Hotel & Casino. This trip is sure to be a beautiful week away! From a visit to the Wetherby Cranberry Company and a trip to the House on the Rock, to a tour and wine tasting at Wollersheim Winery, there is something for everyone.

Fall River Rally

Fall River Rally - CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Thursday, October 19, 2017 / 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Spend your day off from school enjoying the fall colors while kayaking on the mighty Mississippi River. Instructors from Wahoo! Adventures will teach you the basics before getting out on the water—no experience necessary! You will get to paddle around Cloquet Island before returning for a bonfire lunch and s’mores. You may even be able to visit the new water access campsites on the island.

Living a Healthy Life Through the Years

Join the Anoka County Historical Society for a morning of learning and discussion. Concern about our health and how to care for it is an ageless discussion. Come share your family remedies for common ailments—a mustard poultice? How about a handful of herbs from the garden? Compare those with the bottles, handwritten prescription forms, and books written by Anoka County doctors from the collections of the Anoka County Historical Society that tell interesting stories of medical history.

Lights Tour

St. Paul Lights Tour
Thursday, December 7, 2017 / 3:15 – 8:45 pm

Enjoy a tour of the holiday lights in St. Paul! Arrive in West St. Paul for dinner at Cherokee Tavern. With antique lighting from the 1930’s, a new hardwood floor, and new tables and chairs, the Cherokee Tavern is better than ever. You will then meet a local guide who will give you a tour of St. Paul, bathed in Christmas lights. You will view Rice Park surrounded by the Saint Paul Hotel, Landmark Center, Ordway, and Downtown Library. The entire block is draped in twinkling lights and features St. Paul’s official Christmas tree.
