The Ramsey Gateway: A Vision for Highway 10

Ramsey Gateway Logo

Since 2014, the City of Ramsey along with Anoka County and MnDOT have been studying alternatives to improve safety and reduce congestion along U.S. Highway 10/169 in Ramsey. Over the past year, Ramsey has taken the lead on defining a final vision to remove stoplights at Sunfish Lake Boulevard and Ramsey Boulevard and replace with bridges similar to Armstrong Boulevard.

This is what is known as a Planning Level Layout. The City has worked through several iterations over the past year to discover workable solutions that meet our planning goals. The next step is actual design and environmental review, where exact layout and property impacts will be better known. Ramsey and Anoka County have set a goal to start construction in 2025 if full funding is secured in the next few years. To date, Ramsey and Anoka County have secured $3.5 Million towards the project.
